Stratify ranked as a top eDiscovery firm

Law Firms and Corporations Vote Stratify A Top Electronic Discovery Services Provider. Company Leaps Onto The Socha-Gelbmann 2007 Survey In Five Key Categories.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – August 1 2007 – Stratify, Inc., one of the largest providers of electronic discovery services, today announced that it has been named one of the premier electronic discovery services companies by law firm and corporate clients in the Socha- Gelbmann 5th Annual Electronic Discovery Survey. Stratify’s 2007 rankings reflect the company’s significant growth and product innovations over the last year. The company grew more than 270 percent in 2006 and has seen continued growth in 2007, with new customers, product capabilities, and strategic alliances.

According to the survey, Stratify is one of the top five electronic discovery service providers based on both corporate rankings and analysis capabilities; among the top ten electronic discovery service providers based on both law firm rankings and review capabilities; and one of the top twenty based on seven criteria sets developed for the survey.

“We are thrilled to be ranked so highly by our clients – corporate users and law firms,” said Ramana Venkata, president and CEO, Stratify. “This honor is a great validation of our clientdriven approach to eDiscovery, and our commitment to provide reliable technology and services that continue to drive down the total cost of review for our clients.”

Stratify’s clients report document review rates of 300-500 documents per hour, many times higher than in-house and traditional online systems. Stratify has consistently introduced innovations such as automatic matter-specific concept-organization, visual email analytics and advanced foreign language support for European and multi-byte languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean, that drive review efficiencies. Last year alone, Stratify’s customers saved more than an estimated $250 million and 1.4 million hours of unnecessary review.

“We made a strategic decision to partner with Stratify because they offer the most advanced electronic discovery technology in the legal industry,” said Carlos Perez-Albuerne, a partner at Choate Hall & Stewart LLP. “Using the Stratify Legal Discovery service for document review has improved our efficiency by over 400%. With traditional methods, our lawyers would have spent 100 hours to review 6,000 documents. With Stratify’s solution, we can typically do the same job in 25 hours or less. This means less expense for our clients and more efficiency for us because we can identify important evidence earlier in a case.”

The annual Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery Survey provides the most comprehensive view into the emerging e-discovery market. According to the survey, external electronic discovery expenditures grew 51% in 2006, to just under $2 million. Socha-Gelbmann estimate that the market will grow to more than $4 billion by 2009. The survey comprises data from 115 organizations on the forefront of e-discovery, including leading law firms and Fortune 1000 inside counsel.

“Stratify is a strong contender in the electronic discovery market,” according to George Socha and Tom Gelbmann. “To handle the increasing volume of data in the context of the revised FRCP and keep costs under control, electronic discovery vendors must adopt new approaches to electronic discovery to increase review efficiency. Stratify has earned its survey rankings by identifying these needs and effectively responding to them.”
