Tags, Annotations, and Custom Codes

Drive high productivity eDiscovery reviews while safeguarding privilege using powerful, easy-to-use tagging capabilities. Quickly review and apply consistent tags to message units and near-duplicate documents.

Tagging Documents

The Stratify Legal Discovery™ service provides a powerful and flexible tagging review application that allows hundreds of attorneys to review and tag documents simultaneously. In addition to individual tags, several different approaches to tagging are supported, including:

Group tags. Hierarchical group tags that enable reviewers to tag documents with specific values, for instance “Privilege AC” or “Privilege Redact” will automatically generate and add the more generic “Confidential” group tag. Attorneys can then access various types of privileged documents via the more granular subtags or all privilege documents using the group tag.

Batch tagging. Selecting multiple documents or emails at once. The ability to batch-tag documents ensures consistent tagging that is difficult to accomplish in standard search based-systems.

Message-unit tagging. Tagging emails and/or attachments as part of a Message Unit (defined as an email and all its attachments). The system will automatically propagate the tag from any one component of the message unit to the entire message unit.

Tags are customizable for each matter. All documents for a given tag set can be accessed directly from the control panel. Attorneys or administrators can work with a Stratify project manger to construct a set of exclusion rules between tags.

Annotations and Privilege Descriptions

Create annotations in the Stratify Legal Discovery service to support the creation of the Privilege Log. These annotations, together with other relevant metadata such as Author, Date, Bates ranges, etc, can be exported using the Stratify Export Wizard to easily create the Privilege Log.
