eDiscovery: Review and Analyze

Efficient review and analysis are where modern electronic discovery differentiates itself from traditional methods. Automatic concept-based organization and sophisticated search are vital elements in handling today’s multi-terabyte matters.

Stratify provides litigators with sophisticated and powerful review and analysis capabilities that bring order to huge and chaotic document collections, enabling litigators to quickly identify the most relevant documents, analyze them, and test legal theories.

Navigation

The Stratify Legal Discovery™ service automatically organizes the document collection so that similar documents are grouped together into concept folders. Attorneys can easily navigate and drill down through these folders to find documents on important topics. In addition, the application can at the same time sort documents into Smart Issue folders created by attorneys using Stratify’s powerful Graphical Query Generator.

Search and Filters

Powerful Boolean search queries can be formulated easily using Stratify’s Graphical Query Generator to identify specific document sets. Attorneys can search for textual terms within the body of documents or emails, extracted metadata as well as application metadata (such as concept folders, Smart Issue folders or tags). Searches can be targeted within specific concept folders. Search results are automatically organized by pertinent concept folders and metadata such as senders, receivers or date range.

The litigation team can also filter the entire concept hierarchy using criteria such as custodians, date range, source, tags, etc. Multiple filters can be used simultaneously to further focus on a limited group of documents. Filters show the distribution of documents across the concept hierarchy that satisfy the filter criteria. This enables reviewers to easily focus within a specific date and time range, or with specific tags from the document review process.

Contextual Review

Stratify automatically displays documents related to any other document. Documents are always presented with links to any duplicates or near duplicates that exist in the document collection. Likewise, email messages are always presented with links to their attachments and can be viewed with their attachments as unified "message units." Attorneys can browse a related set of conceptually distinct documents to uncover key relationships that lie buried in the document collection.
